What is a Reusable Nappy?

A reusable nappy, also known as a cloth nappy or cloth diaper, is a type of nappy that is designed to be washed and reused multiple times instead of being thrown away after each use.

What Are Reusable Nappies Made of?

Reusable nappies are typically composed of two main parts: the absorbent inner and the waterproof outer.

The absorbent part is crafted from various materials like cotton, bamboo, hemp, or microfibre to ensure the baby stays dry and comfortable.

On the other hand, the waterproof outer layer is often made of laminated polyester or cotton, providing extra protection against leaks. This two-part design allows for easy washing and reusing, making reusable nappies a practical and eco-friendly choice for parents.

What is a Pocket Nappy?

A pocket nappy consists of two main components: an outer waterproof shell and an inner pocket that holds an absorbent insert.

The waterproof outer shell acts as a protective barrier, preventing leaks and keeping moisture from escaping. The inner pocket is designed to accommodate one or more absorbent inserts.

One of the standout features of pocket nappies is their customizable absorbency. The ability to add multiple inserts allows you to adjust the nappy's absorbency to match your baby's needs.

What are Inserts?

Inserts are basically an absorbent piece of material (often made up of several layers) that is placed inside the pocket or laid on top of the pocket of your nappy.

When your baby wets their nappy, the insert absorbs the liquid and draws it away from your baby's skin, preventing wetness and discomfort.

Inserts are made of many different materials such as microfiber, Bamboo Cotton, Hemp and cotton.
